Toronto artist The Weeknd dropped his highly anticipated mixtape 'House of Balloons' yesterday on his website. Now, I downloaded the mixtape last night and it has been on repeat since then!!! His sound is absolutely addictive. You're going to love it!

FASHION WEEK x MAO PR x THE BLONDS

Ummmmmmmmmmmm, so I was blessed with the chance to work with one of my top 5 FAV designers of this year! The Blonds!! Working along side of Phillipe and David "Blond" had to be one of the biggest highlights of my life... I was interning with MAO PR, and was able to help put together shows like Rochambeau and The Blonds. 

I had the chance to meet and work with such amazing people! I learned so much from the designers, PR company, and the other interns... To all the LD readers continue to dream, please do not second guess yourself or be intimidated by anyones negativity... When you work hard you will make your dreams a reality!

The Weekend

The Weekend - If you don't know him by now, it's a name you are sure to be using A LOT in the near future! He is a fresh new face on the Toronto music scene and he is coming to claim the spotlight. All I can say is that every time I listen to him I get taken away into a different world and he leaves me speechless. His music stays steady on repeat and and his soul filled tunes are ones that I can't get out of my head.

'Pillow Talk'

She may have the face of an angel, but don't let her pretty looks fool you. Reese is all about handling her business. She has proved to myself and many others that "Acting like a lady- Thinking like a bitch" (one of my favourite nebby quotes) can result in an abundance of successes. This Toronto based designer is the new name on all the lips of the city's movers and shakers. Her line is called Lulu Dash and her blog is on my list of favs and keeps me updated on the day in the life of the designer we have come to know and love. I had a chit chat with Reese for a little "Pillow Talk" recently and here's what she had to say...

Ugh, it's hard to say goodbye... It's 3:00 am and I'm still up! I've tired doing some unpacking, reading, and then sleeping... But all I can do is toss and turn, whiling thinking about how much I miss my friends and Toronto :'( - I've recently moved out of town for a bit... A few weeks ago my friends threw a surprise going away "gathering" for me, I had no idea... Sooooooo I am a HUGE softy - cried my eyes out for a good 15 minutes... SO let me begin to tell you guys how BRIGHT this women was! I was sitting where she was and OBVI there isn't enough space for the both of us. When this women got onto the train she had the audacity to TO SIT ON MY LAP - Zoe and Tam were sitting across from me and their eyes widen like they seen a ghost! I was shocked and all I could say was "are you sick????" - Homegirl had nerve to tell ME she isn't going to stand up... :O SERIOUSLY???? Instead of asking me may I sit here, I would've gotten up but instead she wanted to give me a taste of that Yankee attitude! As she is still sitting on my lap, and me not having much of a choice... I had to tell her about herself - letting her know that ikea had full length mirrors!
