Move over charcoal shadow - According to Glamour Magazine; Colourful lids are having a major moment!

Stylist Trick: Prime your lids with an eyeshadow primer or white eyeliner before layering colour on top.  This trick will make the shadow look more opaque and will add that extra pop to the look!




Add Some Texture to Your Kisser
I am sure that everyone knows all about Matted Lipstick... But here is a new trend! Ditch the Lipstick and try filling in your Lips with a Lip Pencil and dust a bright blush over the top.

Stylist Tip: If you're craving shine, add a little bit of gloss to the center of your lips.




Embrace Your Frizz
Yea, I said it! Embrace your frizzy hair because the Messy Bun is Back!!!!

Stylist Trick: Put your hair into a neat bun or ponytail and then use a Kabuki Makeup Brush to rough up the edges of your hair by brushing it back and forth.

Spray Tans

Zoey  "Well I totally tan on a regular basis... LOL (jokes) a good tan always makes people look great. There's nothing better than having an even complexion... However I think that spray tans and instant bronzers should be peoples immediate go to's since tanning beds and laying out in the sun does nothing but damage to your skin. Taking care of what you have now is better than searching for that 'fountain of youth' 20 years down the road! Be proactive... Not reactive!"

Reese "Not a fan of spray tans. A friend of mine made me try it once... It's messy and can get a little tricky when having to change positions <--- overall - not for me!"   

Jasmine (Model)  "I already have tan skin, but I would love to try it one day!"

 Kiki (Health Sciences undergraduate student) "Don't like them because they can be overdone. However, for those who use it in moderation it can fair well."

Find Me My Colour!

Finding Lipstick in the perfect shade for your complexion can be pretty tricky... But don't lose hope! I found a perfect reference guide on how to find the perfect lip colour just for YOU!


If you have FAIR SKIN you will look best in pinky nudes. Subtle pale pinks, and cherry reds.


MEDIUM or TANNED COMPLEXIONS are flattered by yellow or orange-based nudes, vibrant pinks and classic tomatoes reds.


If you're a DARKER SKIN TONE you can also benefit from yellow or orange-based nudes, as well as bold berries and fuchsias, and earthy, brick reds.


*TIP* With spring just around the corner a lot of ladies are going to want to try PINK LIPS. If the reference guide seems a little too confusing to follow... Just SMILE; your perfect shade is about the same colour as your gums - no lighter.

**TIP** If the colour that you bought doesnt come out in the same shade on your lips as it is in the tube, try priming your lips with foundation first then applying the lip colour over top!

Zoey "I wear fake eye lashes more regularly than drag queens and have gone as far as to get semi permanent eyelash extensions! (The aftermath of those def wasn't pretty but, while I had them on I was batting my lashes left, right and center!) I absolutely love long lush lashes... A must for any woman who wants to feel sexy."

Reese "I do NOT leave the house without my fake lashes!"

Jasmine (Model) "They make my eyes pop looking even more gorgeous with the right fake eye lashes and it draws more attention to my eyes."

Beauty with Demi Vaentine!

Wibble Waddle STRUT!

This is Beth Ditto, lead singer of a UK band called Gossip.



If you paid any attention during the F/W 2010 fashion shows you would have spotted her sitting front row at some of the biggest fashion shows along other A-List celebrity guests. Now Beth recently graced the runway for Jean Paul Gaultier's Ready-to-Wear S/S 2011 collection; She was used as a muse to showcase XXL appeal. Ditto seems to be the perfect fit for designer Gaultier as he has a knack for choosing models who will shake up the status quo. The model/singer that boast a size 28 figure may have recieved a thunderous applause while slinking herself down the runway, but not everyone was impressed.

Ditto definitely embraces her curves and had this to say to the haters:

"I don't understand all these women who say they feel betrayed by fashion. A piece of clothing can't talk — it can't tell you that you can't have it — so really, you're just telling yourself that," she told the Times in 2009. "You make yourself the victim, because if you want clothes that bad, then make them yourself. You have to get creative if you're fat."

Whether Gaultier was trying to prove a point about the beauty of full figured women or shed some light on the controversy between XXL and XXS models, he definitley had everyone in the audience perched on the edge of their seats!

I've got a few tips for you ladies (some of the skin care tips for the gentlemen as well lol). Be on the lookout as I will be posting random health & beauty tips here and there, possibly a few times a week. Never hurts to take care of our bodies right?! So pay attention and try a few of them out! =)

BEAUTY!

Concealer/Foundation:

If you're like me, you're not a huge fan of concealer & foundation, but sometimes it comes in handy. Here's a few tips!

1. To extend the life of your foundation or to cut down, try mixing it with a touch of your facial moisturizer.

2. When picking out your concealer/foundation, test the colour on the inside of your wrist. The skin has the LEAST amount of blemishes, and generally gives you an idea of what it will look like on your face!

3. Try applying a light additional layer of foundation after you've done your eye makeup. It makes it easier to fix any last minute smudges from either your mascara or eyeliner under your eyes.

Most of us, if not ALL of us are unfortunate enough to have to sometimes deal with those crappy bumps on our faces. Possibly the worst, being blackheads & whiteheads. Bleeeh! A way to fight them is an over-the-counter salycic acid or glycolic acid product which dissolves dead skin that clogs pores. I recommend Neutrogena! This stuff right here! -->
