FASHION WEEK x MAO PR x THE BLONDS

Ummmmmmmmmmmm, so I was blessed with the chance to work with one of my top 5 FAV designers of this year! The Blonds!! Working along side of Phillipe and David "Blond" had to be one of the biggest highlights of my life... I was interning with MAO PR, and was able to help put together shows like Rochambeau and The Blonds

I had the chance to meet and work with such amazing people! I learned so much from the designers, PR company, and the other interns... To all the LD readers continue to dream, please do not second guess yourself or be intimidated by anyones negativity... When you work hard you will make your dreams a reality!

Here are some photos from fashion week...

BEST OR WORST DRESSED?

OSCARS 2011
Here is MY version of 'Fashion Police' for the red carpet...

Halle Berry is wearing Marchesa. Okay when doesn't she look absolutely stunning? Nude, crystal encrusted corset, complete with silk tulle ruffles = in love! Personally I would've added more jewelry on the arms...
Verdict: She looked aaahhhh-mazing

ALTA MODA

NEW INSPIRATION: MANISH ARORA

Manish Arora = crazy!!! I say this in the nicest way possible! To have a mind like his, to create, and make fair tales come alive is the work of genius. The way he executes each piece is just incredible. I personally think every form of artist has at least an ounce of "craziness" in them. In Arora's case maybe a little more then the usual, but I appreciate his work! He has inspired me to continue pushing the limits.

Beauty Trend: Eyelashes

Zoey "I wear fake eye lashes more regularly than drag queens and have gone as far as to get semi permanent eyelash extensions! (The aftermath of those def wasn't pretty but, while I had them on I was batting my lashes left, right and center!) I absolutely love long lush lashes... A must for any woman who wants to feel sexy."

Reese "I do NOT leave the house without my fake lashes!"

Jasmine (Model) "They make my eyes pop looking even more gorgeous with the right fake eye lashes and it draws more attention to my eyes."

Kiki (Health Sciences undergraduate student) "I don't like them, then again I have never used them myself."

Janelle Morgan (Event Planner) "Fake Lashes should be used when out on dates/social functions makes the eyes more dramatic."

A special thanks to the LD team... Robin Waters, Lisa Jackson, Ksenia, Grey, Lia, and Charisma Fur

Photos will be released VERY soon! ;;)

O.P.I SHATTER

One of my fetishes is nail polish!!!!! I have over 60 bottles, my favourite brand is OPI, and my favourite kind is the OPI Shatter. This bottle was released to the public over a few months ago and sold out within the first week online. I've waited for my bottles for over 2 months, THANK YOU LORD for Trade Secret... I found itttttttttttt ;;)

À LA MODE

COMBAT BOOTS

Reese  "Just the other day I was called “the female Justin bobby” - hmmmm not sure how I feel about that comment just yet, but I am guilty of the baggy, layered, bummy trend. What better way to complete the look? COMBAT BOOTS, Love, love, LOVE them!"
Zoey  "I love the combat boot. It's an upgrade from my childhood cadet boots. I can express my inner tomboy with my girlie-ness, so cute!"

Jaclyn Genovese (designer)  "Grunch/combat boots - I love this look as long as you pair it with something more feminine - a dress, short shorts, skirt etc..."
Intern Tee  "Combat boots will always be in style I love when, I love when their mixed with glam!"
Erika (Designer)  "Combat boots? Hell yes, their perfect to add a little edge...!!!"
Amanda (model)  "I am a big fan and defiantly like the look because there is a slight boyish feel to the look but can very feminine at the same time. I often wear mine with dresses or leggings  and a tunic style shirt."

Let me know what you guys think!
;;)
